Oh yeah? Western society has a very loose definition of marriage and there is no compulsion or pressure from the socity to get married. if there is only a biological urge to f** then there wouldn’t be any families here. People stray but not as much as you say. It is not social pressure alone that creates families. Evolution behaves in a way that shuns having genes of only type. That is the biggest reason why only that good looking girl and that handsome guy doesn’t get to bed every other person. It actually favors diversity and that is why most people ultimately happen/crave to be with a husband/wife.

dude, don't confuse biological urge and 'western society'. who claimed western society is a perfect manifestation of no holds barred society? it may have loose definition of marriage (i doubt its true, christians take marriage very seriously), but it doesn't mean they encourage all sorts of straying.

people may crave to be husband/wife for many reasons. most of which is conditioning by people around them. not biological inescapability.

Eh? Biological urges are not just to f** as you claimed and there is a bilogical urge to have a partner because of evolutionary pressure. Social and societal pressure alone don’t  do that. Why do you think the concept of marriage started? You think religious zealots imposed it on people? Yeah right. It happened because evolution normalized it and people began to crave a partner. We have had the biological urge to f** for millions of years but it still hasn’t been the one governing our lives.
