deport aina kuda there are lot of options to pay. Banks don' t  close your account right away and you even told you have your friends living in the same apartment , you could have just sent money to them. Just tell that you wanted to escape then

In my opinion US Credit history is far more valuable than you think. If you maintain clean credit and responsible spending the benefits are insane.
