mahabaratha is overrated. I don't know if it survived 1000s of yrs because Indians lost their creativity to come up with better epics, or if Indian society is so religious that it doesn't want to let go of Mahabaratha.

I think the latter. mahabaratha's popularity is proof of India's stagnant cultural milleu.

It depicts all forms of human emotions. The greed for power, wealth, lust, manipulation, deception,

doing things against your own will, a woman being sole reason for war the list goes on and on.

yes. Its a great epic. but 1000s of years have passed, and people are still debating about it.

So Duryodhana is bad anukundam, then pandavas is also not that good. 
As per books, Duryodhana and Karna went to swargam with wild card entry 
Pandavas has to pass some tests to go to swargam

So who are good then ?
