Chennai - deservedly the worst city of India and indisputably the worst of all metros.

For Chennai lovers who might decide to get their panties in a twist - please note I am not talking about Tamil Nadu or Tamil culture. I am limiting myself to the rank ugliness that is Chennai.

Chennai - the toxic combination of filth, corruption, colossal mis-management and home to India's worst drivers. Unless you are living under a rock - you all must have been well acquainted by the worst floods that hit this pathetic excuse of a city which nearly drowned it - a result of debilitating callousness that has seeped through every single pore of Chennai's administrative phalanx.

I really do feel for the people who have the misfortune of living in this epitome of chaos called Chennai. I dread the day when this city will inevitably face the wrath of the next installment of  floods. It barely exists as a city now - shudder to think of its ominous future.

lol @ this english.

another reason I love Chennai is how all assholes burn up inside when someone mentions the city in a positive light. btw, I also love Kolkata for the same reason, though I've never lived there.

You sure do overestimate your intelligence and underestimate your ignorance.

The less said about your English the better.

I am not hating on Chennai - there is nothing wrong in saying that crap is crap.

I cannot be held responsible for your love for crap.

Now surprisngly I find myself in agreement with you about Kolkata - a truly wonderful city.

I just find your use of certain words quite amusing, because the rest of your sentence structuring, or your ideas don't warrant that level of complexity. learn to write in simple english. not better or worse.

A chennai guy with a post secondary education will write better than that. that's all.

I can't be bothered about your insistence on deriding a city, for reasons that apply to all cities in India.

At the least, Chennai can be loved for standing against the national consensus in almost every issue of importance.

People who like to mouth nationalist nonsense won't understand how liberating it is.

and we are talking about a nation that is piss poor, illiterate, and run by majoritarian thugs.

Once again you are taking things really too personally. I pity that. You already lost your argument when you chose to write assholes instead of replying with equanimity.

I thought you at least had a smidgeon of intellectual honesty. Every word I wrote about Chennai is factually verifiable (all one has to do is to see how the city got hammered recently by floods due to administrative indifference of the worst kind).

Please let us not talk about my English - my English has served me really well - personally and professionally.  You would be well advised to focus on your own English which at best is filled with errors and at worst is downright unreadable.

I agree on your assessment about India being illiterate and being run by majoritarian thugs - irrespective who is at the helm of affairs.

I agree it is indeed liberating to follow your own volition than to blindly follow the majority especially when its wrong.

Chennai though barely stands that test of independent original thought - I would gladly bestow that honor on Kolkata.

lol. I take things personally? sounds like you suffer from low esteem because you surround yourself with hindutva 'intellectuals', who can't seem to get anything right these days. @3$%

your english served you well professionally? really? lol. you must be literally scraping the barrel in your profession, because if I read some memo written like this, I'd pull them up for idiocy. you are just showing off with words you learnt yesterday. Its my mistake to expect more from Hindutva obsessed morons.

You are the example of the idiot I mentioned in this thread. The english speaking moron, who can't deal with the fact that he's wrong, and doubles down with even more strange sounding english. @3$%

The topic was not about how great Chennai's infra was (which is not that bad compared to other metros in India, btw), but how awesome Chennai people are. dumbfcuks like you can't get beyond shiny airports, and long flyovers. Not my problem.

Aww, so cute!

what's that 'test' of independent thought? Chennai didn't protest against OBC reservation when entire India did. apparently you only consider wine sipping 'independent' thoughts as making the cut.

Typical of wannabe Hindutva elites, who want to replace the liberal elites at the top.

you are failing. try harder dude.

"irrespective of who is at the helm of affairs". lol. so Hindutva 'intellectuals' have come around to the fact that they are no better than liberal thugs. hmmm..

that's one good thing after years of denial.

Oh wow, somebody got shredded, destroyed. I gladly accept the victory. Stooping down to personal attacks surely is sign of my success.

I am not even a Hindu and I do not know what hell are you rambling on about Hindutva when I did not make any suggestion to that effect.

There is a reason why I left India and pig headed idiots like you would not understand why.

I know it must suck to love a veritable dump like Chennai.

The continuous use of smileys and lols showcases your intellectual vacuity.

Once again I pity your lack of intelligence, knowledge and your atrocious English.

I gotta go to bed now and if I am enveloped by ennui tomorrow I will gladly come back and destroy any remnants of your worthless babble.

P.S. I did not realize it was this easy to demolish a closet upper caste Hindu like you.
