It reqd free money from the west for India to achieve 7+% growth. Because without it, the uppercaste were not really smart enough to make products with limited domestic resources that can appeal to the international markets.

Today the same people are talking nonstop about 'merit'. lol.

It took me such a long time to understand what "Hindu rate of growth" meant. Even though it was derogatory in tone, it was perfectly justified. Hindus are not comfortable with a shake in social order. It deeply entrenched in the society, that they prefer the order, compared to the wealth that change can bring.

no one really knows their identity or the meaning behind their ancestral history, history has been diluted enough. some says manusmriti is true, some says lanks bridge is true, some says false, some says Mughals are cruel, some say they are awesome...... and no one dwells a living in such books and myths anymore....either they do some jobs, do some acting, go abroad or go into govt.... truth is Indians need an identity to build future, and that is diminishing day by day... but the government still considers these books as basis of organizing the society.. what a pity. India needs a reset button

Nobody has to know the meaning behind their identity. As long as they consider it their identity. They can create new myths to feel proud of their identity. Like Thevars in TN who consider themselves as the "caste that ruled", when they got their asses handed in every war with Naidus in Madurai, and served under them for majority of their history. And literally every caste in India that served as sidekick to the British, but still claims kshatriya (like Rajput).

Even if the uppercaste take their identity somewhat lightly, they won't forget dalit's identity. Hard casteist ones will remind them to drink in separate tumblers even when they visit the same tea shop. Soft casteist ones like you, will point to their reservation advantages and encourage their abuse by fellow students and colleagues. bottomline, you remind them of their caste, and claim that nobody cares about caste.

most hindus are such hypocrites.

its so easy to push the blame on someone else, when you are contributing the problem of casteism yourself.

truth is, Indians need local identities, not the 'Indian' identity. India is the original "Euro Zone" that didn't work. It'll never work, however hard you may force it.
