okay cryptomaniacs, I have a question.

Is there a crypto coin that decentralizes the internet? Not that I think blockchain is a necessary or even useful tool for such decentralization.

simple search got me bleh tools for decentralizing storage (storj), DNS (namecoin), web hosting, for all which better decentraliized services exist without a blockchain already.

I want a completely free internet, like in Freenet (freenet.org), or like Firechat that was used to completely bypass the internet when Chinese cut it off in HongKong couple years back.

actually, I have an idea. make money by claiming to decentralize Internet with some half baked white paper on how it'd work.

swindle people off all money, and turn around and accomplish the same without blockchain.

if you think of it, blockchain is a crap tech that can't handle this problem.

okay. what do I mean by decentralizing Internet?

simple. No need to pay the ISP for the internet. No need to be beholden to TLDs, you host on your computer and give away stuff for free.

Its actually conceptually easy. technically somewhat hard to accomplish. in practice, it's a nightmare.

so pls do it. I don't like to burden myself with problems. also I have to bring down corporations. so no time.

just think. with a good search engine (not the crappy google), you could look up literally anything and download it off other people's machines, and no one could threaten you with lawsuits.

how willl you interconnect the machines without physical gateways and who will maintain such links without isp. One way a guy thought was to daisy chain peoples wifi but it is far fetched.

the second part is partly done by torrents

check freenet.org, and I've seen Firechat work when china completely cut off internet in hongkong.. gateways not needed if the internet is redesigned as a mesh network.

what???? chitti kanna what the fcuk is an 'interconnected network'. adhi kooda bold caps lo.

I know exactly what i'm talking about.

I said a mesh network doesn't need a gateway. who said its not a network. what kind of moron are you? the kind that reads computer networks text, and remembers only the text, and forgets the meaning?

yeh, thats your attitude.. thats how you want to justify your reaction.. I dont converse with people who dont even know how to start a decent conversation or give a decent reply. you could have replied like a normal person would but you chose to react like a maniac.. y should i engage in conversation with people like you?

anywys matter anav kabatti, aa topic ki vaste. what i meant when I said it is still a network, physical hardware is still needed to support that network which requires investment. which again brings back the same issue you are raising.. that being said I dont like to converse with you anymore..
