India lo rayadam better emo because they at least treat differently, US examiners may anticipate better writing skills. Not to offend anyone but it's painful to give test multiple times. Almost one day wasted in writing and 3 weeks to prepare.

Honestly, exam lo not a single damn thing you can recall.. I read many tips and Youtube videos but there is literally no time to recall them and specially writing you used to keyboard in 21st century and writing with hand also a painful thing, I got sprain in nerves while writing because it's been too long since I write with pen for 60 mins.

There are really tons of websites and I read about mins 70 writing tasks but I have to admit I only concerned about listening since you have to score 8 for sure and I spend most of the time practicing listening tests than anything else. Very surprised that writing is such a disaster.

How to write an Argument essay (Agree disagree essay)

In essays we are supporting or refuting an argument with examples and reasons. The main goal of our writing is to persuade the reader, so it is important that your essay sounds logical.

Your essay should have four paragraphs and you should divide each paragraph into several sentences. Each sentence carries its specific function. And after all sentences you build a centralized argument.

Look at this essay structure:

S* – sentence

Paragraph 1 – Introduction

  • S 1 – Background statement
  • S 2 – Detailed background statement
  • S 3 – Thesis
  • S 4 – Outline sentence

Paragraph 2 – First supporting paragraph

  • S 1 – Topic sentence
  • S 2 – Example
  • S 3 – Discussion
  • S 4 – Conclusion

Paragraph 3 – Second supporting paragraph

  • S 1 – Topic sentence
  • S 2 – Example
  • S 3 – Discussion
  • S 4 – Conclusion

Paragraph 4 – Conclusion

  • S 1 – Summary
  • S 2 – Restatement of thesis
  • S 3 – Prediction or recommendation

As you can see there are 15 sentences totally that makes the essay about 250-270 words and this is perfect for Writing Task 2.

Note: Sentences should be short, clear and linked to one another using cohesive phrases.
