Bad idea...bad bad idea...the idea of 3rd if there is any chance, will be fuelled by BJP and in turn, benefit BJP hugely.

We all know how 3rd front succeeded before NDA-1. the entire nation knows that..

and, moreover, the problem with the third front is, who is projected as PM ? people in AP won't vote to see Mayawati as PM...neither Shivsena will vote to see CBN as PM...AIADMK and DMK voters will shy away if BJD is projected as PM party...

Fractured mandate and it will help BJP.

In 2019...It will be Modi VS Rahul Gandhi VS Unknown face. People will have to choose from two known faces and a regional unknown face. If this is the situation, People will vote in favor of a known face.

Lets start with the state of Uttar Pradesh...80 MP seats and three major parties with an underdog Congress. Even if they forge an alliance, SP plus BSP plus Congress, Hindu voters will flock towards BJP...if those three parties come together, Hindu voters will fear and vote in the panic to BJP. 

In Maharastra too, Although shiva sena will be gainer with BJP steering ahead. Devendra Fadnavis has a good image now and his vote share has been increasing ever since he came to power.  The other heavyweight, Sharad Rao Pawar is an ailing veteran and his power is being consolidated. 

In Bengal too, Mamata won't be able to win big this time. she may still win the majority of seats but BJP will eat away the vote share and may get 4-8 seats in Bengal. She is the culprit here. If anyone can stir the idea of hornet's nest, then it is Mamata Banerjee. She would be committing suicide as there is no second leadership in TMC, CPM declining, Congress barely has presence and BJP gaining strength.
