tea coffee emo kaani,

meat matram tine vallu. also instead of tea we had so many combinations of spiced waters there was no need of tea and coffee at that time.

Coffee was 19th century crop bhayya... 

 

tea was there... but limited to few tribes. Adhi kooda manam migilina aakula tho kachi vadaposi aushadham chesinattu malanbadhakaniki vaadey vaaru.

 

we didnt grow in particular but nomad tribes in north east had this from the 12 th century. 

 

Rig veda lo soma rasam( sauma antey ney kachi  vadaposedhi vadukunedhi or extract- distill and use.

Idhi kooda tea ani kondhari vadhana 

 

as the rig veda says sauma ras has properties that can increase health or amrutha tulya while old scholars say thay kashyap budha prepared amrit or soma ras on earth
