GAYA, BIHAR:  A doctor was tied to a tree as his wife and 12-year-old daughter were gang-raped at gunpoint by around 20 men on Wednesday in Bihar's Gaya.

 

The attackers have been detained, the police said today.

"The doctor and his family were on a motorcycle, passing through Sondiha when they were waylaid by youths carrying firearms. They raped the mother and the daughter after tying the father to a tree," said senior police officer Nayyer Hasnain Khan.

The doctor had left his clinic in Gaya's Guraru Bazar around 8 pm last night and was heading home with his wife and daughter.

When they were passing through a deserted stretch, the group of 20 surrounded them. In his statement to the police, the doctor said he tied to fight the men but was overpowered.

The woman has identified two of the 20 detained the police said.

The police swung into action within hours of the incident. The officer in-charge at Konch police station has been suspended for negligence. Eleven suspects were picked up last night and the rest this morning. Local villagers reportedly helped the police catch the accused by putting up roadblocks to block their escape.

"It also emerged during the investigation before this incident, the same group had snatched mobile phones and cash from a couple of students passing through the village," Mr Khan said.

Amid outrage and shock over the incident, RJD leader and former deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav targeted Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over the state of law and order. "Nitish Kumar, after joining hands with the BJP, has buried law and order in the state," he told NDTV.

You are correct bro but small correction , tappulu jarigevi vedalu and philosophy chadavaka povadam valla. Hindus lost their vedic culture due to invasions and forced conversions. Vedas chadavadaniki chala time padutundi andukani vadilesaru. Once bring back our culture everything false into false Hinduism is very vast and need vigorous study unlike other single book religions.
