Divide your expenses like rent, food, gas, electricity, car maintenance and miscellaneous and try to follow those fixed expenses. It is safe to use. But I would suggest tracking expenses/maintain balance sheet on paper monthly.(Mint app/paper combo)

mint app is from intuit... turbo tax etc are from the same company... its a 52Billion $ company and its share price is 210 currently...

I am using it from last 2 years...no problem dont give bank accounts if you have a concern... add credit cards that you usually use....
