in VA 80 or 80+ is misdemeanor, mandatory court appearance.

if court is too far from you, hire a local attorney who will attend on your behalf. they can reduce it to speeding from misdemeanor.

expect bill above 1000$ plus including court fees and lawyer fees speeding ticket fees.
