NOTA

Vijay D is a charming fellow. That's it. I don't understand how he became that popular in Tamil. That too through an utterly boring movie like Arjun Reddy.

Tamil cinema doesn't make movies that fit Vijay D's onscreen persona. That of a cool Hyderabadi.

Tamil people want cool Chennaiite. and the difference between the two is so stark. The cool chennai boy is Vijay Sethupathi. and look at the kind of movies he does.

This NOTA movie will be a joke.

Vijay Sethupathi and Thalapathi Vijay ni nenu emi comment cheyyatle. They dont fit into my narration. My angle is that, one of our own Telugu guy is making waves in Tamil industry and we need to embrace it and stop negative opinion about this guy. because he delivered! not once, not twice but 3 times a in a row.

So far only Tamil heros came to telugu and ruled here. like Surya, Vikram, Vishal, Dhanush, Ajith, etc.

Name one Telugu star who did what Vijay Devarakonda did! He just didnt deliver a hit!. He stole their hearts. So please think with open mind ani na vinnapam anthe.

lol. Tamil people don't care bro. edho kontha mandhi ammayilu vaadi personality ki padi poyintaaru. anthey. and kontha mandhi balisina tamilollu vaadini follow avtharu.

Chennai lo telugu people kooda unnaru ga. vaallu choosintaaremo Gita Govindham.

Tamil Heros didn't rule Telugu. max some dubbing movies became hit in AP/TG. That Vijay D can also do now and then. nothing more than that.

These cross over movies are bullshit anyways. pointless. Vijay D connect is with middle class telugu people.

middle class tamils are a whole different ball game, trust me. Vijay D will not do well if he picks straight Tamil movies. Its a bad idea.

Bad thing enti ante Aravinda Sametha theda kodithe utter flop ayye chance undhi...... Not because of Jr. NTR. I love jr. NTR. But because of Trivikram. He is not in form. Vaadi grip poyindhi...... e madhya okka cinema kuda sarigga theyyaledhu.

Also revenge and faction cinemalu kodithe hit ledhante rod! no mid level averages. So im very doubdtful about Aravinda Sametha.

On the other hand, NOTA might be a blockbuster or atleast a decent movie from collections perspective!

Vijay Devarakonda already adult content tho hit kotti okka milstone cross chesaadu....

Next..., half cinema internet lo release ayina kudaaa...., 100Cr+ collect chesi next to PK (Atharintiki Daredi) ani prove chesukunnadu.....

Ippudu migilindhi one on one fight. Papam jr NTR entho kastapadithe monna monna 100Cr+ kottadu..... Vijay Devarakonda ah feat ni 4th cinema ke over take chesaadu....

So all other stars should wither step up their game or submit their position to the new king of South Indian Film Industry ( Hopefully Indian Film Industry in future)

I'm sorta Telugu kadha. But mostly I'm Tamil. I don't connect with Vijay D at all. He reminds me of Shekhar kammula hero in that movie Anand. The people I connect with have to look like a lower middle class chennai'ite. the language doesn't matter.

Vijay D will come across as posh for Tamils. Like they already haven't had enough of bullshitter urban nonsense actors like Surya, doing the cool boi role. Vijay D is not a good fit for tamil. He's a telugu boi, and there's probably a decent market for dubbing films of his. nothing more than that.

hmmm.. movie business lo 'step up game' is just bullshit talk. All movies are just over stylised versions of hero's personality.

today people liked a boothu filim 'Arjun Reddy'.. tomorrow they may like chocolate boi movie.

Its impossible for one person to satisfy all of that. So there's no king.

Even Rajnikanth was never a king.. even in TN. all that chamchagiri for him is just manufactured carefully through associations since the 80s.

Neeku inka ground zeero lo matter ardham ayinattu ledhu....

looks like you are ignoring him thats why you are not keeping track of whats happeining. Just watch famous tamil youtube channels or interviews by tamil celebs etc.

They are calling him IlayaThalapathy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look what Sanchana NAtarajan has to say!!!!  This is not a joke!!!!!!

These are just some mere examples. I am not saying he replaced Thalaiva Rajnikanth.

I am saying whatever he did is still amazing. Rememeber, thought you hate him, you cannot stop tamil people from loving him or going to his movies and watching his movies in telugu with subtitles. Do you know Arjun Reddy and Geetha Govindam are the highest grossing telugu movies straight release in Tamil?   Please get your facts right.....Check this out:

okay. if you say so. But I don't think there exists a common market for south Indian films. aiming for such a market is career suicide.

good for Vijay D if tamil people like him (although I doubt it). None of my friends like him, but all of my friends are hardcore socialists and communists who only like movies with certain political and social themes.

I don't live in Chennai. the last time I was there, it didn't really cross my mind to ask about Devarakonda. Nor do my circles give chance for that kind of conversation.

we just made fun of what a shitty movie Arjun Reddy was. nothing more.

bro @MrDexter, Rajnikanth himself is not the king anymore. he was king for a very brief period in the late 80s, and after that it's just PR machine that sustains Rajnikanth. People really don't give a fcuk about him.

and Vijay (not sethupathi) was never the king.

I'm saying your argument about Vijay D capturing south India is wrong, because he never can capture tamil market, without becoming Tamil himself.

all these 'market' calculations that distributors make is just bullshit. That's why they lose so much money.

Nothing is an absolute bro!

Anything is possible if you can make it possible!

You and your friends dont represent the Tamil people. Atleast not as wide as Tamil media, whiich is currently going gaga over Vijay D.

Whatever you are saying sums up to this:

Even though VijayD's movies are collecting a ton of money in TN, Even though every Tamil Channel is praising him, Ven though most of the celebs who worked with him prasining him including Satyaraj and Nasser etc. we should not believe these facts. We should believe you that VijayD is nothing but come and go types. Right? Sounds ridiculous!

Definitely he is not at that level where everyone recognizes him but he is known among movie buffs esp the tamil cinema journalists/bloggers are very appreciative of his acting and the effort he took to learn tamil for his debut
