Set expectations for each of them during your casual conversations (make use of similar examples from friends or relatives and make your point). 

 

if there is a contentious point, provide your perspective of what you expect.

If you’re a common enemy to both of them, they both will be friends. Parents ni control lo pettali and pellanni control lo pettali. It’s not easy but it’s not tough at the same time.
