some say its allowed and some say its not allowed...

some say if protfolio is greater than 25k, its allowed..

 

i have been trading since last 10 years...i do max 3 trades in a day for day trading...no issues so far....

i dont recommend doing heavily so that IRS may highlight your case to USCIS and they ask why are you doing heavily as its not part of your job...how are spending so much time in it.
