come on fellas...come up with sensible logic...

Is it a protocol ? is it mandatory ? Does such a demand has legal backing ?

If number of languages need to be written, what is the logic that needs to be followed ?

How do we determine number of languages ? 29 officially recognised but India doesnt have offical languages, then how can we determine what languages need to be there om the sign board ?

is there a system that we need to follow ?

How is it being managed else where ? what about other monuments and places of interest ? Most importantly, what about other languages which are not recognized ?

Do we have any logic here ? or is it just mindless ranting that's happening here...

The question is about why other languages are not recognized not just Telugu

Why only those languages are selected??

LOL mindless ranting like how you are doing here comparing something like Railways which is under the center to something like a supposed "statue of unity" which is supposed to include the unity of the nation. No one's asking for all languages to be included on every railway platform or board, however this statue is being touted as one that indicates the unity of the nation. Akkada classical languages ani constitution che status ivvabadda languages ki chotu ledu antav, that's your logic huh?

LOL expected response. What you forget to consider is that most of those monuments you are talking about don't have as diverse a set of languages like India, which is why this is a problem unique to India. For example Statue of Liberty can be only written in English, as the US for the most part is still an English speaking nation. However that's not the case in India, regional languages are and have been given as much importance as much as the official language spoken in the majority of India by the constitution itself.

This would have been a petty issue had it not been touted as the "Statue of Unity" that is supposed to represent the unity of all cultures/languages in India.

Whether we visit this or don't doesn't make any difference, this is what it's being marketed as yet it failed to match upto the basics of what that unity includes.

Simple : Its a built on PPP model and now being operated by a private entity where he doesn't need to follow the government protocol. With commercial interests, possibly tourism intent that was put up.

Its your turn..

Why should Telugu or what ever other reasons should be put up and whether it does have a legal back up citing other examples where such a system was followed and only violated in Gujarat. ?
