well, these guys are basically business tickets brokers....they buy miles in bulk from the frequent flyer programs, then bargain the empty seats on flights and sell it over for a premium less than quoted proce...

It was in April 2018, My wife one way was economy and return was business class on etihad and we paid $2600.

Usually these brokers deal with many airlines...

In airline terms, these are bucket shops

Actually there is a loop hole in aviation trade rules

Any airline can not sell tickets to a destination other than it's native destination and final destination

Example: If Air India is flying between JFK-LHR-BOM ,it can sell tickets from JFK to BOM or BOM to JFK

They can not sell JFK to LHR or LHR to JFK

Suppose if you are in London and what to travel to JFK , and if you go to bucket shop,he can check with AirIndia and can get you tickets at almost 60% than other airlines flying in the route

For Air India,it is win -win cos they are getting some income instead of flying empty seat

Same applies to business class.Try flights which have stop over in India and fly onwards

Ex: Singapore Airlines or Cathay pacfic.

now a day, most airlines are operating on hub and spoke model, non stop. ATleast few years back point to point operation vunde...but right now, its completely hun and spoke...stop overs chala takuva vunai...

eg: Singapore Airlines has Tokyo Narita as stop over...Emirates has Milan....JEt airways used to have Brussels earlier, Air India has a stop over in london and frankfurt, Air Newzealand and Qantas have Los Angeles as stop overs...other than these, I don' t think no other airlines has sto over now..
