one can question the method that sustains the belief. like for eg. varnashram. one can question that, and explore other methods to brahman. unfortunately it has never been questioned.

Astrology itself seems to be connected to other aspects of hinduism, and that makes it shaky to begin with. Too much questioning will completely destroy it, and unquestioning faith will lead to blind following of these tradition.

its a thin rope that the practitioners have to tread on. Only brahmins have managed to do it successfully.

science doesn't decide everything. blind belief in financial system, in meritocracy, in nation state system, in capitalism.. these are the pre-set ruless that decide everything. 

If science decided everything, world would be much more beautiful to live in, with plenty of different systems to chose from, and compare with.

Its not lack of rationality, but lack of morality is the biggest problem with old systems - hence we got rigid power structures like brahmins.

Its the problem with science too - hence we got extreme materialism.

if rigid structures were pushed on people in olden times, now we have the system pushing specific monetary ideas, market systems, governance models etc through a rigid reading of science - in particular the blind 'scientific' belief on how individuals and groups respond to certain incentives. 

No other system is allowed to succeed, or even given a chance to start. Everything that is not mainstream is either mocked as communism, or shot down as terrrorism.

soon religion is on the way to join the basket of useless things accordin to the modern man, but it won't improve humanity's understanding of itself, because the systems are still based on blind faith - but this time on things like finance, markets, etc. They will also fail.

so people making fun of astrology, if they are blindly participating in the modern world, are just being insufficiently informed or plain hypocrites.

LOL,  formula .. LOL .. 2+2 =4 is same any part of world..  , but india ,  horoscope different in tamil nadu, andhrapradesh, kerla,  and north india..  and china has different ..too...
