Where would you settle Atlanta or Texas (Houston/Austin )  ?

My brother got a job. I've never lived in these states so need suggestions from db ppl. Anyone lived in both states ?

  • IT Job - Which State more scope of IT jobs. GC vasthe any difference ?
  • Kids Schools -Which State has better ? I believe alteast 1-2 school districts would be good in any place but still want opinion.
  • Indian Community - should be pretty much same
  • House market - should be pretty much same
  • Cost of living/Savings- should be pretty much same may be 5-10% difference
  • Any other points to be considered ?
  • Weather- may be Atlanta is better as Texas is more humid,  but should not matter much.

Atlanta..

Dallas is too mass.. Also Dallas lo home prices are at the peak now.. Next 2 to 3 years lo oka 20% padochu Frisco and other areas..  Houston market is too dependent on oil and too humid..

Atlanta has well rounded IT market. UPS, Coke, AT&T, McKesson, Fidelity, ETrade, Lexis Nexis, Delta, CNN, TBS, Home Depot, CDC are some of the names.. Alpharetta/Cumming area schools are now among the best in the nation. Close to Florida and also within driving distance to NC, DC, Pennsylvania etc..

dallas lo houston lo antha new construction so neighborhoods baguntayi

atlanta gurinchi telvadhu

Atlanta also mottam new constructionee.. Infact Houston and Dallas housing stock is older compared to Atlanta.. Atlanta all the growth is after 1995 olympics.. so most of the city developed in the last 20 years..

Houston lo housing communities ki example .. most of them are master planned with at least 2k acres.. and have atleast one elementary school within the community for community kids

Too humid bro.. Also most of the market is dependent on oil and health care in Houston.. Avi tappa there is no mature industry there.. I don't think Houston is the happening place for any Desi relocations.. Most of the Desis relocating from East Coast or California by default pick Atlanta or Dallas.. I haven't heard of anyone relocating to Houston in a long time..
