రాయలసీమ ప్రజల చిరకాల ఆకాంక్ష కార్యరూపం దాల్చబోతోంది. కడప ఉక్కు పరిశ్రమ గురించి కేంద్రాన్ని అడిగి అడిగి విసిగిపోయి, రాష్ట్రంపై కక్షగట్టిన కేంద్రాన్ని కదిలించేందుకు నిరాహార దీక్షలు చేసి పోరాడినా ఫలితం లేక చివరికి ముఖ్యమంత్రే మూడు ప్రత్యామ్నాయ మార్గాలను కేంద్రం ముందుంచారు. అయినా కేంద్రం స్పందించలేదు. అలాగని ప్రజల ప్రయోజనాలను, మనోభావాలను పక్కన పెట్టలేక... క్లిష్టమైన ఆర్థిక పరిస్థితుల్లో సైతం కడప జిల్లాలో వంద శాతం రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వ నిధులతో ఉక్కుపరిశ్రమను ఏర్పాటు చేయాలనుకున్నారు చంద్రబాబు. మైలవరం మండలంలోని ఎం.కంబలదిన్నె గ్రామం వద్ద 3,147 ఎకరాల విస్తీర్ణంలో ఏర్పాటు చేసే ఈ పరిశ్రమకు సంబంధించి ప్రభుత్వం ఇప్పటికే రెండు ప్రత్యేక వాహక సంస్థల(ఎస్‌పీవీ)ను ఏర్పాటుచేసింది. వాటిలో ఒకటి ఉక్కు పరిశ్రమ ప్రత్యేక వాహక సంస్థ(ఎస్‌పీవీ) కాగా మరో మైనింగ్‌ ఎస్‌పీవీని రాయలసీమ ఉక్కు సంస్థ లిమిటెడ్‌, ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌ ఖనిజాభివృద్ధి సంస్థల సంయుక్త భాగస్వామ్యంతో ఏర్పాటుచేశారు. ఇది పరిశ్రమకు ఇనుప ఖనిజాన్ని సరఫరా చేస్తుంది. ఈ ఉక్కుపరిశ్రమకు డిసెంబరు 27న ముఖ్యమంత్రి నారా చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు శంకుస్థాపన చేయనున్నారు.

When was the last time a state government has set up a steel factory in India ? 

Jharkhand and Bengal la manchi grade steel, coke and coal pushkalanga dorkutadi...adane ne ledu stateowned kadapa la pedtadu anta steel factory...

For steel plant, the basic things you need is raw iron ore, coke, water and coal...

India's best quality iron ore is available in Jharkhanr/Bengal/Bihar but not in Kadapa. Even Bellary iron ore is secondary grade ore. 

Secondly, except during the era of nationalisation and socialist days, India started several of the public companies which were larer either divested or locked out and the very few remaining are the Maharatnas and mini ratnas, and SAIL is one among them. Steel Authority of India Limited and Rastryia Ispat Nigam Limited, which is popularly called as Vizag steel plant.

Since 1971, No other steel plant was built in public sector and if CBN builds one, then it would be a rare feat of a state government owning a steel plant post liberalization era after 1991.

Simple logic : 

If setting up steel plant was as easy as CBN thinks it is, Gaali Janardhan Reddy would already had quite a few steel plants running and Bellary would have been steel plant capital.

ante, gaaliu gaade cheyaledu ani kadu...Bellary ke dikku ledu ra ayya ante kadapa la inkoncham kastam kada?

and I havent seen a stae government owned steel factory that has set up shop post 1991./..
