అమరావతి: కడపలో ఉక్కు పరిశ్రమ ఏర్పాటుకు కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం సహకరించకపోయినా రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వమే నిర్మిస్తోందని తెదేపా ఎంపీ సీఎం రమేశ్ అన్నారు. విభజన చట్టంలో పేర్కొన్న ఈ అంశాన్ని నెరవేర్చాలంటూ తాను, బీటెక్‌ రవి చేసిన నిరాహార దీక్షలకు రాష్ట్ర, జిల్లా ప్రజలు మద్దతు తెలిపారని గుర్తు చేసుకున్నారు. పలుమార్లు కేంద్ర ఉక్కు శాఖ మంత్రిని కలిసి విన్నవించినా ఆయన స్పందించలేదని విమర్శించారు. జిల్లా ప్రజల ఆకాంక్షలు నెరవేర్చడానికి సీఎం చంద్రబాబు ఉక్కు కర్మాగారానికి శంకుస్థాపన చేస్తున్నారని తెలిపారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి జిల్లాకు చెందిన ప్రతిపక్ష నేతలూ హాజరవ్వాలని కోరారు. ఉక్కు కర్మాగారం అనంతరం తాను తిరుపతికి వెళ్లి తలనీలాలు సమర్పిస్తానని వ్యాఖ్యానించారు.

గురువారం సీఎం చంద్రబాబు కడప జిల్లాలో పర్యటించనున్నారు. రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం ఆధ్వర్యంలో నిర్మించే ఉక్కు కర్మాగారానికి ఆయన శంకుస్థాపన చేస్తారు. రూ.18వేల కోట్ల వ్యయంతో నిర్మించతలపెట్టిన ఈ ఉక్కు కర్మాగారానికి రేపు ఉదయం 11గంటలకు మైలవరం మండలం ఎం.కంబాలదిన్నె వద్ద సీఎం శంకుస్థాపన చేయనున్నారు.

Chandrababu asked the Ansteel team to inspect the site in Kadapa district where previously a steel plant was proposed to be set up (by the then Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy, who was subsequently jailed in the iron ore mining scandal).

"The location is close to the port and iron ore is abundantly available," the chief minister said.Chandrababu asked the Chinese business group to come with an "implementable action plan" so that the land allotment proposal could be taken forward, the CMO release added.

Later, Modi's PMO had blocked this proposal by not letting ministries to grant necessary permissions for the investment to be made by a Chinese firm.
