2019 will be the year of the electric vehicles

I read somewhere that electric vehicle would be about $1000 cheaper to make when compared to Gasoline car (excluding Battery).

Assuming we would save about $2500 in Gas Savings over a span of 5-6 years, a 60(or may be 100) KWH battery should cost around $3500 for electric vehicles to sustain without government incentives.

The other condition is re-charge within 5 minutes and get about 200-300 miles of range.

I honestly think we are atleast 5-10 years away from mainstream electric car rollout. We can probably get away with government incentives in the mean time.

The real problem here is battery technology hasn’t leaf forwarded as it should when compared to any parts of the tech industry. So it’s is a push we all should be part of so that it gives better future.

We just can’t sit and wait until it becomes mainstream, either. We all should contribute to make the technology available. Like how we all went from Nokia’s to smartphone screens where everyone finds the consumer interest that created that space in the industry.

They need consumer demand in mass in order for anyone to mass produce them and scaling can only happen if there is enough demand.

$7500 EV credit when you meet the criteria bro. If you buy EV in Colorado State incentive is $8k on top of federal credit. States should also support. But $7500 is not a real cash you get. It just deducts your tax bracket.
