Sankranthi Race: Tollywood Is Above the Caste

For those audiences who breathe and watch cinema from a caste point of view, this Sankranthi gave a tight slap for sure. With all the hungama at the box office taking unexpected turns, here is a discussion happening on social media now.

Especially when #NTR Biopic is coming up, many have taken that as a film that is being made by 'Kamma' community as a promotional tool for the 2019 election. Though a filmmaker like Krish who is against caste system and made films on it has to face the remark that this is a "Kamma" movie. Even fans from the Kamma community felt that this is 'their' film.

And then, with Vinaya Vidheya Rama, the warring faction that goes against Kammas, the Kapu community started looking at this Ram Charan starrer as a Kapu movie. And they owned this movie, started promoting as a weapon that could unleash its power over Kamma film #NTR.

Well, these two films are going to cause the biggest losses to the distributors involved; and the result is known to everyone.

But the slap in the face comes in the form of "F2: Fun And Frustration" which has heroes from Kamma and Kapu community, i.e., Venkatesh and Varun Tej. Basing on this, some fans are now throwing satires that the Kamma-Kapu movie has literally smashed 'only Kamma' and 'only Kapu' films out of the park.

All said and done, caste is the fungus and virus that could destroy the fabric society and it's unfortunate that even educated Telugu youts are putting up caste face on social media!!
