Dhirubhai was once poor. Yes, the rich have the financial and mental resources to keep going. The poor don’t even know what opportunities lie in the outside world. It will take someone with an extremely high levels of motivation and thirst for knowledge/power to rise up from their poor state, swim against the tide and overcome their challenges. Such people who are willing find their way to the top are the ones who end up at the top. 

 

Most poor/middle class people who simply come home and do meaningless things like watching tv or browsing AFDB will remain so deservedly. Only the strong willed ones will rise. That’s the concept of survival of the fittest.
