tacobell fan
01/22/2019: No SCOTUS Decisions Released Today on Two Important Immigration Cases: Travel Ban and DACA Appeals by Trump Administration This morning, the Supreme Court of the United States was releasing the latest decisions of the SCOTUS. There was a potential decision on the Trump Administration of the appeal of lower courts decisions on DACA and Travel Ban. However, there was no release of decisions on these two cases this morning. These decisons, particularly DACA, could have some implication for the impact of the President's latest proposal to temporarily extend the DACA programs for the next years as a bargain for $5.7 billion southern border fence appropriations that could lead to open of the federal government. Currently, DACA program is protected by the lower court order and the DACA community and Democrats are less pressured by the President's proposal for temporary DACA extension with no guarantee for eventual solution for immigration reform to give them some permanent relief. The SCOTUS will now go into the Winter Recess and the current lower court decisions will stay intact. Source : immigration-law.com
