Guys, don't say I'm getting less this year. Taxes are supposed to go to government. If you pay more, it means you have loaned US givt at 0 interest rate and you get that back after doing taxes. I laugh at people who say I got the money back.. It called a refund!. Adjust your w-4 so that you are paying what you should pay.

good post.

w4 ala adjust cheskovalo I can adjust my self from ADP .

what are the best ways to adjust for singles??

You need to give a new W4 to employer. Some companies have online tool. W4 comes with a calculator to come up with a number ( from 1 to 14 I think) . More number means more deduction. Based on this year refund/tax payment, adjust it ( assuming no change to your income and tax related status like marriage/kids etc )

From this year, things have changed and unless you have mortgage payments and other investment incomes, standard deduction makes sense - especially for single filers.

100k gross ante..

lets say ur std deduciton is 24K --.  then ur AGI = 100-24 = 76K.

assuming u dont have any other income or deductions.

76K AGI ki..u will be in 12% tax bracket....

nuvvu kattalsina tax 9120 (approx figure)  Federal Tax.

but nuvvu 17K kattav, kabatti neeku returns will be 17K -9120 = 7880.

(nuvvu cheppina 17K does it include ssn and medicare..or purely Federal whitholding.)

Intha return vasthe I will give you 2k.

nenu kuda similar numbers.

As single filing getting back  1800.
