FYI, cobra insurance ki pay nuvve cheyyali and it is little expensive too but atleast it gives you a chance to enroll in middle of the year. Middle of the year lo bayata insurance companies enroll kanivavvu normally except for qualifying events.

I mean if the new employer provides you with an insurance, you have to cancel cobra.

dude... i was fte and I used to pay monthly 100 for insurance in HSA insurance plan(single).

I moved to a conracting firm and I got a letter from FTE company  that I can still continue on their cobra plan and the rate is 800 per month.

picha lite tesukunnna.. it very expensive ani.  I took with new contracting company.

My advise is to search in market place and take the plan which suits you.
