Behrouz Boochani has been awarded the Victorian Prize for Literature for his book No Friend But the Mountains. The Kurdish-Iranian asylum seeker accepted the $100,000 (AU) award via a phone call to Papua New Guinea’s Manus Island where he is currently detained.
