IT vs other Engineering Fields

Below are pros and cons based on my limited interaction with friends working in various fields. Please share ur opinion. I had another thread asking for best IT field to shift to instead of Civil Engg. But wanted to start a new thread on pros/cons

IT PROS:

• Work from home on Fridays (Never for other fields)
• Work from home mostly (Never for other fields)
• Easy to get a job if laidoff (Other fields really difficult)
• Opportunities in India or other countries (Other Eng fields have limited opportunities outside US)
• Higher pay 

CONS

• Stressfull depending on the client and expectations

I don't know how easy it is to get a job in IT, but I don't think other fields is that hard.

Which fence are you looking at?

IT field is the best as per my experience, more opportunities , relatively easy to learn new techs , opportunites worldwide, good working env, good pay.
