Mega Star Chiranjeevi is coming with Sye Raa which is progressing at a brisk pace under the direction of Surender Reddy. The film is generating tremendous interest as Mega Star Chiranjeevi is realising his dream of starring in the role of freedom fighter for the first time on silver screen.

It is known that Sye Raa is the biopic on one of India's first freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. According to the latest Sye Raa team paid rich tributes to Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy on the day of his martyrdom today.

Sye Raa team released the poster today paying their tributes. Britishers hanged Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy on Feb 22nd,1847 in a brutal manner and hung his head in the fort gibbet till 1877 so as to wreak fear in the minds of the freedom fighters.

However the fire to fight for the freedom of the country ignited by Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy inspired many . Releasing the poster, the team posted “Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, the man who lit the fire of our freedom fight struggle. Remembering him on the day of his martyrdom- Team Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.”

In the wake of Megastar Chiranjeevi coming up with the magnum opus #SyeRaa, which deals with the story of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy who fought against the anarchic British East India Company quite bravely, his story is getting quite popular.

Known as the first ever patriot who turned against the tyrannous Britishers, Uyyalawada got hanged by the English people on February 22nd, 1847, a century prior to India got independence. As it happens to be the death anniversary of Uyyalawada, today #SyeRaa team shared the original picture of the freedom fighter.

The British have brought the monochrome photography to Indian back in 1830s, though official records indicate that we got the camera in 1855. However, this photograph of Uyyalawada proves that there was photography in 1830s and 40s itself as this Zamindar got one clicked.
