'El Chapo' is seeking a new trial

On Friday, the lawyers for Mexican drug lord Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán filed a motion stating their intent to seek a new trial. Their request is based on allegations that jurors were reading media reports during the trial, despite instructions not to.
