Best running shoes for long distance runs

Guys, suggest me some good running shoes for long distance runs(2-3 mile runs) plus ones that are best suited to people with flat feet(I have flat feet), ideally road running shoes for asphalt surfaces not the trail running ones. 

Runners of DB, please throw some light house here.

I doubt asics !! I was using gel nimbus and it was pretty bad ! My legs hurt ! Better go for nike or new balance
