you need to go to Indian embassy with your original passport ... visa information and local address proof ... 

$22 is the cost .. they give you on same day 

 

you  can also mail all documents ... check their website

SBI bank manager in India gave  me a PoA document and asked to get signed form embassy. The form has space for the account number , do I have to give the account number to get embassy stamp

I did in Kotak mahindra kaka.. he said Indian embassy or equivalent. The guy I did in chase bank has some stamp approved by state... they accepted and done my registration also done. SBI only puts all lvdala rules I never go if they give for free also

Did you get it notarized here after the sign of person whom you giving authority. 

 

Does the notary ask where is the other person

I did here and sent India ma father did sign and submitted to bank and registration office.. of course IG in revenue was my fathers subordinate earlier he did our registration after hours even though office was closed he called the registrar back.

Consulate is ok to sign without your father sign

I did it in bank vaya..chase bank I neve went to consulte. That’s what am saying check now I did 6 months back. There was an or condition consulate or equivalent but it should happen here in usa. Regular notaries can’t do this even in usa it needs special power my bank guy had it. UPS or Fedex ones not accepted

Sbi asking 

consulate attested but consulate os asking get notarized first. The form that *** bank manager gave require me and my father photo and signature additional two witness. Its inter linked and confusing

Ohhhh my balayyo only KA Paul can save you... check with notary first once in any bank get it done then send it to consulte. For me I did only in bank and sent back that was enough.
