The procedure to activate an HDFC credit card is more painful. I’m not sure about SBI. We have to send a letter to chennai office and they review and activate if you don’t do it when they mail. Possibly auto debit facitilty link chesi untaaru SBI SB AC toh. Ask father to use it or else if not required surrender it entuku annual fee waste. BTW SBI usually gives good offers on shopping either Amazon/Flipkart sale lo discounts offers vastayi either one of it will have SBI card based discounts if interested keep it.
