Hotels are cheap in Paris, compared to San Francisco.  Expect to spend $160 per day.  Find a hotel closer to RER train stops, as you can catch a train from CDG to your hotel. Get an international driver license to rent bikes; otherwise, they don't rent out scooters to non-EU DL holders. Food is cheap compared to America. A croissant in saint michel 6th arrondisment costs $1.25, the same is sold at starbucks in USA for $3.50

Buy a carnet (10 tickets for paris metro). That will save you money, if you don't want to buy a 5 day pass.

160 * 6 = 960

30/day/person for food; 60 * 6  = 360

Tickets: try norwegian air from america. Cheap. You can get it for $400 round trip per person

Add other tickets for eiffil tower, bus tours, etc.

Anyway, just plan out in advance. If you want to stay in Paris, stay near Sint Michel in 6th arrondisment.

Don't buy water from street vendors there; lots of punjabis selling water there:)
