401k and moving expenses

1. if you have 401k with old company and joining new company. new company has their own 401k. Do you leave old companies 401k with them? or what are the other best options?

2. If you join new company and if they pay moving expenses or anything, do we need pay back if we leave the company within 1 yr?

How can you guys contribute to 401 without any knowledge??? Sorry for asking this but what you've asked is very basic question

1. Employer tho account lo you have limited options for investment. After switching, move your old 401k to some company like Fidelity. You can even do stock trading etc directly with the 401k money.
2. Adhi company offer letter lo untundhi whether you have to pay or not ani.

1. Yes, they have with investment company. But still tied to the old company name. Not sure whether I have the control on it or old company. lol...

2. So we have to insist on them. Just asking, is it everyone is doing or paying back is must?

1. You will have control over it, not your old company. And move it to some other investment company. Google "401k rollover"

No, they are saying we have to submit the bills and then may be the check. I think, it may be the normal way.
