It is a blanket strategy toward all boys who approach women. India has a large population which means they have to reject many people. Morever, any positive/non reactionary response would malign her character in someway. Not that what she has said is endearing to anyone, but such a reaction will keep others at bay.

so, a man doesn't have the right to make an attempt on what he likes.. but a woman can at free will choose whomever she wants.. what qualifies a man? money? there is an uproar for treating a woman not like a human and objectifying her for her beauty.. but what is this a similar thing done by woman called?

Not in Indian society tbf. The structure is pretty set and most likely will not change. Whether you like it or not everyone is objectified - it doesn’t matter whether it is a woman or a man. A man’s worth is in his money and woman’s worth is in her beauty. Women cry more because their beauty doesn’t last and a man’s money will. Once a woman’s beauty fades, a man’s head will turn. It is only a matter of time.

That's sounds horrible and judgemental.
