45 cases were registered in nine districts of Andhra Pradesh for filing fake Vote Deletion Applications. The Election Commission has received Eight Lakh Applications to delete the votes in Andhra Pradesh. And Six Lakhs of them have come in the last 10 days itself. These mass applications are being made from some Mee Sevas, the Police identified. 14 cases are registered in East Godavari, highest in the state. Eight Cases each in Vishakapatnam and Kurnool, Four in Prakasam, Three each in Krishna, Chittoor, and Srikakulam. and One each in Guntur and Anantapur. Going by the pattern, it is clear that this is an intentional ploy by someone. This scam came into light after a few TDP MLAs complained to the Election Commission about the deletion of votes of their supporters. Election Commission is tracking the culprits by tracing their IP Address. Election Commission promised thorough investigation in checking these applications.
