If you apply for GC labor and in process or approved atleast before 1 year  of you 6 year h1b expiration you will be eligible for extension. which means you need to start perm as soon as possible and also you need to recapture some unused h1b day to make sure you perm start date is atleast 1 year before your final i94 date.

you are in very tight spot. you should be doing all this atleast few months before.

you need to apply as any regular extension to recapture them and show all i94 in and out dates for proof..
