just got worst thought...what if your father expired and u have no idea on his business and properties...how do you gather all his assets?

May be you don't know all the day to day transactions where he gives some amount to friends and people in need so they can return when they are in a better position.

yeah I noticed this problem in my family only. One of my uncles bought shares during 1991-95 and died few years later. All the papers were lost during relocation after his death and even though aunt knows that there are shares on his name, she has no idea about what company shares he bought.
