Thanks. I saw below site to unlock online, don’t know if it’s worth it. One of the dB friend suggested to take the iPhone 8 for 299 from simple Mobile (link below ) which comes as a locked phone then unlock it in hyd, not sure how to do it.

Rsim is the only cheapest way, simplemobile pure unlock costs anywhere from $150-$200

limitation with rsim is that once uou reset the phone it gets locked up again. Google for more info

As for as over the air updates goes through smoothly, I think it should be fine, I don’t think I would be doing complete reset. Thank you bro.
