I owe $6800 this year in taxes..

damn... thats huge.. me n my spouse combined income is $138550 and it says we owe 6150 federal and 650 in state..

Yeah nenu kuda almost $6k daaka kattali..

check your W4 and change no. of exemptions to lower .. best is 4 for married with 2 dependents

unless you want to risk and file itemized deducations there’s no escape. Lot of single guys taking risk. Audit padithe interest tho saha repay chepistaru. Naa colleauges ki after 10 years IRS audits vachayi. Random ga they will pick.  Test your luck.

Nadi 95k , spouse last August lo started working and stopped this Jan ( so oka 6 months ki 40k)

you could do itemized abouve 12k, but to even reach 12k its very hard, the max you could get to reach for itemized is 12k with all added, but beyond that it'd be a red flag and you might have to repay the whole amount later to them with intertest.

Thats what i said Yo... no matter you owe or not, more than 12k you under flag, itemized aint easy as it used to be,,not anymore....
