group lo evarina spouses ki h4 to j1 visa convert cheyinchara. Is it safe to go with COS or stamping out side US.

I am not sure if you need to go outside the US. I know people that changed from F1 to J1 by change of status. But, you should be able to go outside the US for stamping, unless your work falls in the technology alert list fields which will make it longer.

Are there any chances of my wife’s J1 Visa getting rejected due to the fact that I am on H1B and have a valid approved i140 petition. J1 is meant to be non immigration intent where as H1B with approved i140 is an immigration intent.

I don't think it would be an issue. Although J1 is a non-immigrant Visa, she will apply to J1 with respect to her study/work, I think it should be fine. If you're not sure, consult a lawyer. A lot of my friends applied to the two year waiver before applying for GC though, I don't think it would be an issue if she gets two year waiver.

Ok thanks bro. Murthy dot com ni consult avacha? Do you know if they are  good in answering j1 questions . My wife has h4 ead and her residency training starts on June 15th so one option would be to start the residency on h4 ead if programs agrees for that and  then parallelly apply for COS for J1 in US itself .

I am not sure if H4 EAD will work for residency. Some schools only accept F1/J1. Check with the school. Usual ga H1B or related vatillo unte, you can't apply for fellowships. Murty is good, they did my case assessment for GC. They are good for J1 as well I think (some of my friends applied for GC with J1) They are very fast in responding.

You can check with the program. In my school, they don't accept it. But it might be different in every program.
