BSP doesn’t campaign nor has any cadre it just lends its symbols to independent candidates in telugu states and most of the votes secured are on the individual strength of those candidates. Hence that doesn’t reflect the party strength in telugu states

For example in the recent TG elections, malreddy ranga reddy is the congress rebel fought on BSP symbol (he is an independent), check the results here

Chala takkuva man, kansiram unnapudu okkati rendu sarlu sadassulu chesinaru ante, even madiga Krishna gadu nilchuntene depositlu kuda raledu, BSP core party/sc candidates nundi constituency wise break down tisukunna 500 votes kanna ekkuva unadavu. Sadly most of them fighting on its symbol are OCs and other castes than SC/STs

the main reason is afore mentioned , national party, symbol is known and gets a priority on evm board.
