don't let it go to Collections.

check with ur hospital and try to get some reduction in ur bill, most likely they will give you the installments option.

if it goes to Collections, call them immediately say that u don't have job and can only pay certain amount. deal with him before it gets reported to bureau.

usually the medical bill will not affect your credit history until they send it to collections.

best option is to talk to hospital. either settle for less than half payment in cash or negotiate monthly payments which you can afford.

if it goes to collections, you can negotiate but then they can report the unpaid balance to credit bureaus and it will stay on your credit file for 7 years.
