According to the Economist Intelligence Unit's "Worldwide Cost of Living Survey", Singapore has been joined by Paris and Hong Kong in a tie at the top of the table in terms of living cost.

Hyderabad is getting expensive on part with other metros but Mumbai is already expensive...set new benchmarks. 

A taxi driver makes atleast 100,000 rupees a month where as taxi drivers in Hyd still struggling to make 30-40k a month...

Just to give you an example of how expensive is Mumbai
