Exactly. That's right. Anyone from the general public can come up and claim to participate. But in order to filter out the ones that cannot perform, you need some form of screening to know the person. That's why there is screening for general public or unknown local leaders.

Nagababu on the other hand is already a known public figure. He has some previous political experience from PRP and his credentials are known. He may not be a leader with a vision, but he is un-corrupt and will obey party orders as told to do so. 

Janasena has given tickets to potential candidates based purely on their commitment to work and irrespective of their financial power or caste.

But now, since there is probably a lack of potential candidates, PK has brought it NagaBabu to fill in a specific role. 

I see nothing wrong in that. Do you? 

In comparison to other parties which do family politics, here is how Nagababu is different: 

Nagababu does not get special treatment or a say within the party. 

Nagababu is not directly given ministries without any form of political contest (or experience).

Nagababu doesn't automatically sit on top of the party cadre hierarchy.

Nagababu will not receive extraordinary elevations by Janasena cadre, before he walks up to the dais to give a speech.
