Jagan Falls into Naidu's Trap

TDP's incessant poll campaign on the dosti of YCP and TRS has made YS Jagan breathless. Given that similar 'sentiment' campaign did work in favour of the TRS in Telangana, Jagan & his adviser friend Prashant Kishor are worried that it could work towards TDP. In order to counter TDP's claims, Jagan has made some political statements. While Jagan expected that these would indeed help him politically score points over TDP, indeed, these may now cause more damage to him.

Not realizing it is a trap on either sides, Jagan has walked into the trap smartly laid by Chandrababu Naidu in the matter of TRS and YCP's political understanding. By responding to TDP's allegations of YCP being Andhra TRS party, Jagan has made his first mistake. And the second big mistake is Jagan claiming that TRS is extending its support to the Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh.

When and where exactly TRS has lent its support to AP's Special Category Status? And how much honest TRS was in its support to AP's Special Category Status if it really announced its support to SCS. Looks like, Jagan has forgotten KCR's u-turn statement on AP's Special Category Status. By linking TRS-YCP dosti with Special Category Status, Jagan tried to act too smart, however, little did he guess that he has put himself and his party in soup.

Angry Jagan shot back at TDP, "What's wrong if we take the support of the neighbouring state to achieve the Special Category Status? Why Chandrababu Naidu is irked if TRS lends support to Special Category Status?" Jagan further admitted that YCP and TRS are part of the Federal Front and Jagan claimed that it is for the benefit of the state in order to mount pressure on the Centre.

If TRS is really supporting the cause of Special Category Status to AP and not supporting YCP as per YS Jagan, then why is TRS not supporting the cause of Special Category Status under Chandrababu's leadership? This is clear that TRS is playing its games by making Jagan as its puppet and Jagan too aware of TRS intentions, but he is playing his game to win over Naidu in AP's politics. The moot question is why did Jagan Reddy, son of dynamic leader late YSR, surrender before TRS (the party that was shaken up by YSR).
