Claiming travel insurance/protection for cancelled flight.

Hi ,

 

Need some info/help regarding claiming travel insurance as my parents flight was cancelled by airlines for one leg.

 

They initial itinerary was multi trip HYD - LON - SLC  -- Traveled as per schedule.

 

Return ticket was multi trip too SLC- LON -HYD  - Break journey for a month and half in LON.

 

LON-HYD flight was cancelled and the only option they are providing is refund for SLC-LON_HYD flights. They are not even trying to put them into different flight with flex dates.

 

I bought these tickets for 1800$ per person and the refund they are giving is 620$  . Since it is peak time in june and july ippudu 1400$ around unnayi around same dates.  What can i do now? 

 

I bought them through Chase sapphire preferred and they also have religare insurance. Should i take refund and buy new tickets and then call chase? Did anyone run into same situation? I appreciate your replies.

Refund istey insurance etla istadu? Only one of them valid kada? Any way 620 is reasanible as its 25% of ticket.vadini batiladinava? Asalu why cancelled?

s0rry to know that... London lo transit ki visa issue undanukunta did you find out about that?? If they have Indian Passport and US tourist visa... recent ga maa friend valla parents ki issue ayindi.. he changed to Frankfurt/Munich... 

ee love da lo Denver and SLC areas ki Frankfurt or London flights a unnay Hyd nundi.. Emirates Ethihad expensive and no direct flights...

625$ refund iste eppudu ticket 1400 $ undi. How are we at fault ?  1600$ extra pettukoni we have to buy tickets now. We didnt cancel or rescheduled it memu enduku extra paisal kattukovali? What is point in buying tickets well in advance when they cancel as they wish? They should at least compensate enough to buy another ticket or put into another flight kada?  I dotn know why airlines cancelled they just sent us email that that flight will not operate on that day.

My parents have UK visa and they would stay with my sister for month and half. Issue is Virgin Atlantic airlines cancelled the flight and we have to rebook at much higher price. Travel cards or insurance should cover the difference anukunta but how to claim i am not sure as i never ran into this situation.

thats BS.. vadu cancel chesi meeku paisal katmanudu endi.. normally cancel cheste next flight ivvali kada? Unless you bought it from a Travel Agency and they charged you more then its different scenario...

yes, you can get refund of you money from chase .. if they have travel  insurance ...  claim submit cheyali ... flight cancelled details pettali entha loss ayyavo peduthay chalu they will take care...

Ade kada? Edo sodhi i have to deal now. Already yelling and all ayyindi. Vadu asalu idiot laga matladutunnadu saying we have no flights to put them into even though i told we are flexible with dates.

SLC- LON is operating but he says he has to cancel that too . 

SLC-lON-HYD ki 620$ istadanta. Nenu ticket 1800$ per person ki konna as two stop overs in London for few weeks unde and its multi trip. Now peak prices unnayi. He is useless already saturday and sunday hours and hours calls ayyayi.
