Atlanta any day..

Dallas lo IT environment ni mana desis have completely frucked up.. Hyderabad, Bangalore work places are much better than Dallas IT jobs, too much desi politics..IT markets are of similar size in Dallas and Atlanta.. But because of too many desis getting jobs in Dallas is getting very difficult now a days unless you have internal contacts. Atlanta kooda konchem similar but much better than Dallas..

If you want to buy a home Atlanta is much better too. on a 500k home, you will pay around 5k in real estate taxes in Atl, for the same home you will pay close to 20k in real estate taxes in Dallas.. Even though you save 7% state taxes in Texas combing all the sales taxes, real estate taxes etc, in Atlanta you will save a lot more..

Rest everything is very even, Salaries are comparable pretty much..

Weather -Atlanta is green with beautiful fall colors with mild winters.. Dallas the winters are a little better the summers are very hot..

Schools are very comparable Alpharetta/Cumming Schools vs Irving/Plano schools.

$120k to $130k is a decent salary. Now a days people are getting 140k to 150k too if you have 8 to 10 years of exp.. You can buy a $400 to 500k house. Payment will be around $2500 to $2800 per month including taxes and everything.  But single salary ante in any city in the US savings anta undavu once you buy a home especially when you have a kid ..

Which city  the good place to settle down with decent house prices and kids education and with  commutable distance to more companies/clients . I think there will be more jobs in Atlanta and  Norcross if I'm not wrong ?

Alpharetta is better. Little closer to the city. After downtown most of the IT jobs are in Alpharetta.. Cumming is also good but konchem dooram city ki..  Norcross anta scene ledu.. Alpharetta, Perimeter, Downtown, Midtown is where all the IT Jobs are..
